Friendly, welcoming yoga for beginners in Pocklington
Starting yoga for the first time can feel daunting.
You might be wondering if you’re too stiff, whether you’ll be the only beginner in the room, or if you’ll know what you’re meant to be doing. These worries are completely normal - and you’re not alone.
At SoulTribe Yoga & Wellbeing, we’ve welcomed many people through our doors who felt exactly the same way. What they usually discover is that yoga doesn’t require flexibility, confidence, or experience - just a willingness to show up as you are.
Our approach is simple: yoga is for every body, and it should feel supportive, accessible, and human.
Every yoga practice starts exactly where you are.

Meet your Teacher
I'm really looking forward to welcoming you
SoulTribe was founded by Lucy, with the intention of creating a yoga space that feels welcoming, grounded, and real - a place where people can practise yoga as a supportive life practice, not a performance.
Classes at SoulTribe are taught with care, clarity, and compassion, drawing on traditional yoga, somatic awareness, and years of experience holding inclusive, supportive spaces. You don’t need to know anything about yoga to begin - just bring yourself.
If you’re new to yoga, you’re not alone — everyone has questions before they begin.
Here are a few answers to help you feel at ease before you step into the studio.
And if there’s anything else you’re unsure about, just reach out — we’re always happy to help.
