Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Connect with Kundalini Yoga
š A Season for Inner Vision
As the nights draw in and the world slows down, thereās a natural pull to turn inward.
Autumn - and especially the days around Samhain and Halloween - are a time when the veils feel thin, intuition sharpens, and the unseen becomes more tangible.
Itās the perfect moment to explore Kundalini Yoga, the ancient yogic science of awakening the life-force energy within.
ā” My First Encounter with Kundalini
The first time I heard the word Kundalini was during my initial 200-hour yoga teacher training.
It hit me like a gentle electric shockāsomething deep inside recognised that word.
Years later, when I began formal Kundalini training, my excitement was met with confusion and sadness.
The Yogi Bhajan scandal loomed large, and my questions were met with silence.
The strict codes of early-morning practice, white clothing, and head coverings didnāt suit my life or body; the masculine tone of the kriyas felt jarring.
So, I stepped awayāthinking maybe this practice wasnāt for me after all.
š® A Living Lineage
But as the saying goes, your calling keeps calling.
My fascination with energy work, chakras, and somatic movement kept unfolding.
At first, I imagined Iād broken some invisible āKundalini rules,ā yet what Iāve since learnedāfrom wise teachers like Polly Standeven and Brett Larkin - is that yoga is a living lineage.
Kundalini Yoga evolves, breathes, and adapts.
Itās not about rigid perfection; itās about energy, awareness, and embodiment.
š¬ The Ancient Science of Energy
Kundalini Yoga is often called the Yoga of Awareness.
Through breath (pranayama), mantra (sound vibration), movement (kriya), and mudra (energetic gesture), we awaken the flow of prana - our life-force energy.
When this energy moves freely, we experience clarity, vitality, and an expanded state of intuition.
In essence, Kundalini Yoga helps you reconnect with the subtle body and remember the intelligence that already lives within you.
š The Third Eye Chakra Workshop
Last weekend, I guided a Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) workshop that used Kundalini Yoga to amplify inner vision and intuitive knowing.
We breathed, chanted, and moved energy through the brow centre - the seat of intuition - to reconnect with our natural psychic awareness.
It was raw, real, and deeply transformative.
I recorded the session with what I hadāno studio lights, no crewājust heart and intention.

šæ Kundalini + Somatic Yoga = Synergy
At SoulTribe, we blend somatic awareness, energy work, and embodied movement to create practices that move both body and emotion.
Kundalini and Somatic Yoga are not opposites; they are two pathways to the same homecoming - awakening the energy that allows you to live fully, freely, and authentically.
š« An Invitation
If youāve ever been curious about Kundalini Yoga - or if you stepped away because it didnāt quite fit - youāre invited to return with fresh eyes and an open heart.
Letās explore what it feels like to see from within, to awaken the energy that has always been yours.
Join the Third Eye Chakra Workshop, or become part of the SoulTribe membership to walk this evolving path together.
