FAQ’s

  • The Practice draws inspiration from yoga, somatics, breathwork and embodied movement, but it's about much more than poses.

Using breath, movement, shaking, sound and rest, The Practice is designed to help you release stress, reconnect with yourself, and feel more alive in your body.

You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or "good at yoga" to take part.

  • Not at all. Many people come to The Practice with little or no experience of yoga, somatics or movement classes. You're welcome exactly as you are, and options are always offered throughout.

  • Absolutely. Flexibility is not a requirement. The Practice is about learning to listen to your body, not forcing it into shapes. Many people begin because they feel stiff, stressed or disconnected from their bodies.

  • If you have your own mat, you're very welcome to bring it. If not, mats and props are available to borrow at the studio free of charge.

  • Anything comfortable that allows you to move freely. Leggings, joggers, shorts and t-shirts are all absolutely fine. There’s no special kit required.

  • Yes. All classes should be booked in advance through the online booking system. This helps me prepare the space and ensures there is a place reserved for you.

  • Please do your best to arrive on time or slightly early so you can settle into the space and begin the practice with everyone else.

Once the class begins, the door will usually be locked to minimise disruption and create a calm, focused environment for all participants.

If you think you're going to be 5–10 minutes late, please send me a message before the class starts and I'll leave the door unlocked for you. When you arrive, please enter quietly and lock the door behind you.

Unfortunately, if you arrive more than 10 minutes after the start of the class, you won't be able to join the practice and you will lose your credit.

  • Life happens, and sometimes plans change.

If you cancel more than 24 hours before the start of class, your credit will automatically be returned to your account for future use.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the class start time are considered late cancellations and the credit will be forfeited.

If you're unable to attend, please do cancel your space as soon as possible. The Practice is intentionally small, and releasing your place may allow someone else the opportunity to attend.

  • Yes. All classes should be booked in advance through the online booking system. This helps me prepare the space and ensures there is a place reserved for you.

  • The 10 Class Pass is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of flexibility to practise at your own pace throughout the year.

  • Not at all.

You can join us with a £15 drop-in, a 10 Class Pass, or one of our monthly memberships, which are billed monthly from the date of purchase.

Choose the option that best suits your lifestyle, schedule and practice rhythm.

  • Yes. Memberships can be cancelled at any time.

To avoid your next payment being taken, cancellations should be made before your next billing date. Your membership will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
